Raising money for a charity dear to my heart!

Raising awareness about autism is dear to my heart and helping within my community is where I am starting this year. HEAL is a local non profit foundation that helps children with autism and related disabilities. With 1 out of 110 children diagnosed with an autism related disability, you can see this is an epidemic beyond the scope of all the cancers, AIDS and other childhood diseases combined, but yet parents and caregivers with children that have autism struggle to provide basic therapies that are needed. Insurance denies coverage, friends just seem to disappear when your child is diagnosed so support structures go away, and depression about your child's future sets in... (these have all happened to me personally) autism is a lifelong neurological disorder and somehow people need to start relizing the significant impact on our communities and future.

Wow, I've had so much positive feedback for a charity kit that I am doing for WALK NOW FOR AUTISM. I'm so excited for it and hope I can raise lots of money for this charity through it. All the proceeds will go DIRECTLY to the charity through their website and I will email download links to those who buy it.

I will start posting previews as soon as I have it all in place! (Here is a preview TEASE!)

I'm also excited that I started selling my digital kits at Artscow.com. You can prepare stunning photo books in no time with their software!

I have an alpha and a page kit FREE this week... and my Kerfuffle kit is only .99 cents!

In the photo book gallery, I started to make a few examples of pages using these kits -you can see them in the shared products. It's really easy to use the software and I hope that everyone can enjoy making beautiful photo books with my kits :)

Starting the GF/CF diet...

Well- here it is... almost July and I really haven't had time lately to blog. It's sad and neglected. :( I'm not sure where my time goes. We have started the GF/CF diet with DS, and we have started B-12 shots too... I've been wanting to do this for awhile and now I feel overwhelmed. Yesterday I made meatballs, today I made chicken nuggets (more like chicken fries.) Ds is now eating gf/cf apple bars, meatballs, fish sticks, fritos, potato chips- all gf/cf. He has tasted steak, mushrooms, applsause and some other things that I can't remember right now... and we are using reinforcers that are not gf/wf right now-but hopefully within a month, he will be gf/cf.

We have tried several "store bought" treats and they taste awful. I need to search for something that he will work for. Oh, and we also started JuicePlus.

Anyway- I've been taking some time off of digi-scrapbooking... I just can't get into it anymore. I'm not sure why... it might be the sadness of autism has tarnished that for me too. Autism tarnishes things... makes them hard to do. I will share recipes here and try to be a better blogger-I'm not sure why! Anyway- I need to get going and get dinner ready for everybody!

the first image is for paper scrappers, you can download this JPEG, just right click and save to your computer. use them as a jumping off point to design paper scrapbook pages :)

I have 4 sets of PDF templates ready for digi-scrappers :) i wanted to do some more, but time is running out for me.

other than that, things are pretty normal here, not much to tell- but i wanted to check in.

working hard or hardly working?

i have to ask myself this question... a lot!

here are some things i've been up to...

i want to design... i really do... do i have it in me? i'm not sure anymore. i need to decide what i want to do with my life someday, right? by the time i'm 40 hopefully, which is in the not too distant future. yuc.

i've been designing some banner/graphics for etsy. i've also been trying to bid on the alchemy projects (the 2 invitations). i really want to buy a letterpress antique press... darn why didn't i think of this stuff about 7-10 years ago? but i am searching ebay for one.

anyway... it's beginning to be hot, summer-ie steaming hot out lately... which means it's beach time... i need some good books to read. i've just finished the 7 book Sookie Stackhouse series... i need more good books! i guess i actually need to break down and go to the library because that's free. maybe i will put that on my list for next week... get library card.

ugh monday... i don't know why weekends go so fast! Friday, C and I went to see Aliens vs Monsters. I think he liked it, it was the first time we sat through a movie in the movie theater! He did get a little scared at the loud parts, but I really think he liked his movie-going experience :) and that makes me happy.

here's a wedding invite that i am putting together for a proposal... it's just an idea. i quickly drew the lighthouse. i'm having fun doing proposals :)

and here's the 2nd pack of templates... - they will be released May 1... anyway- i am off to clean!

well...i've been designing lately... i can't believe it! i plan on having 5 sets of templates for the BIG INSD SALE AT SBE... all will have a special price of $1 for the sale!!!

i'm also doing some etsy things... and getting back into designing logos. we will see how everything works out... i've been looking for employment for so long now that i forget how to work and design with people around... i want feedback for my designs- i really do miss that part of designing. even though sometimes, the feedback was not what i expected. we will see how that works out... here are 3 designs I made for a proposal for a skin care line integrity cosmetics. i hope they like them. i want to get into design more... so this is where my blog will be heading.. my journey with design, photography and the digi scrapbook world.
